We are very sorry to say that Gabriel is no longer physically with us. On Sunday, Feb. 8 it was evident that he was having serious problems, and when we arrived at the hospital there was not much that the doctors could do. Apparently his heart was in a worse condition than we thought; even though we had always pictured him as living with us for many years, the true condition of his heart became apparent that morning and the damage was already irreversible.
Even though we were together for a short time we grew to love him very much, and we gave him all the love and care that we were capable of. We are grateful to him for the love and patience he gave us in turn, and the process he had to live through was not easy in any way. We find peace in the knowledge that he is now free, that the feeding tubes and machines and syringes are not a part of his reality any more. He will always be in our hearts.
We are very grateful to the Ramirez and Garza families for all the love they gave Gabriel and us, and to our dear friends who gave us support from the very beginning. This experience has changed our lives for the better, and it is now clear to us that there are no values more important than family, friendship and love, as well as generosity and selflessness.
Three masses will be held; one today, Tue. Feb. 10, another tomorrow and the third on Thursday, at 7:30 pm., at Corpus Christi church, on Av. Cordilleras near the Sebastian Bach crossing. All are invited to join us.
Thank you everybody, from the bottom of our hearts.

The feeding tube is a bit of a pain. He needs it because he got an intestinal infection, which seems now to be under control. As soon as he's ready we will start to feed him his mother's milk. Then he can come home!!
Sleep, sleep, and sleep some more!
Ok... can we go home now??
